½ðɳÓéÀÖ University has appointed Dr. Jill Dolata as Director of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) after a national search. She previously served as Interim Director, beginning in May 2024.
A valued faculty member since 2018, Dr. Dolata teaches in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program and advises the undergraduate CSD minor. Her leadership has been key in maintaining the program's graduate accreditation. She also serves as a Graduate Faculty trustee on ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University’s Board of Trustees.
Dr. Dolata is actively involved in professional service, including past presidency of the Oregon Speech-Language Hearing Association and service as a national accreditation site visitor. Her expertise is recognized through participation in National Institutes of Health grant review panels. Additionally, she has long-term research and clinical experience at OHSU's Institute on Development and Disability.
Dr. Dolata's research focuses on autism identification, particularly technology-mediated assessment, with current projects examining equity in online screening, language assessment in autism, and support for neurodivergent university students.
